I am looking for my uncles old 1962 corvette Vin#20867S107514. He sold the car in 1970 or 1971. The car was in Pennsylvania then? It was a fawn beige on fawn interior 327-340hp 4sp car. My uncle just passed away last week and would love to find his old vette again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. ![]() |

That color in the picture is not spot on as far as matching the fawn interior, I would use that as a clue to help find that car. the wheels/hubcaps are also odd. I think the possibility exists that its not originally a fawn exterior car because most people would not get the shade off that much from original. good luck and use google. go to the big corvette shows in your area and keep an open mind, that car could be any color today, but odds would be good most would keep the interior fawn if originally that way.
that looks like a 1970ish kind of color (like he painted it and then sold it) |

I found a fawn on fawn 62 in a garage a few years ago. It is a 327 4 speed car. The car had been stored since the early 70s. Looks exactly like that car. I sold the car to my friend a couple of years ago. You can reach him at 515-227-1064. It may be the car.

And yes the car was not fawn beige in the picture it was repainted in 1970 Autumn gold, which he didnt like and then sold the car. I believe the wheels it the pic (hard to tell) are the simulated wire wheel covers off a 1962 impala to which he had a 1962 impala SS conv at the same time.

Nasblu:
First of all, after 144 posts, you should probably consider buying a membership. Regarding your uncle's Corvette, you should consider contacting some of the major dealers such as ProTeam, Mershon's and Corvette Mike as I'm sure they have VIN records of all of the cars that passed through their doors. While they most likely will not give you the owner's name, if you talk nice and tell them the story of your uncle, they may contact the owner on your behalf. Ed
