Default Congrats to Gary Steele (BUQUICK)

As we all have heard by now....the sad news of Pontiac. Well a great story in Todays Tennessean paper about Gary Steele, and his expected wife are expecting there very first child....and how in 1974, Gary was delivered to the hospital in his Dad`s 1966 GTO....well 35 years later history will repeat it self.....Gary will take his wife to the hospital and back home in the very same family owned 1966 GTO. It just doesn`t get any better than this! Gary congrats to you and your Family! I`m sure you Mom and Dad are thrilled.

Gary please let us all know the day your newest child is born.... I say if its a boy....you should name him George! and if it is a girl....she`ll be Daddys little girl forever!

Everyone has to read this great article.....

Just a reminder....this is Gary`s awesome Buick!

story.

Both my kids were born in winter (Dec 5 & Jan 23). And both times there was a bad snow storm and treacherous road conditions. My son rode home in our '68 Corvette 427 but my daughter made the trip in an IH Scout 4WD. She reminds me of that fairly often!

Dan, thanks for the kind words and for posting the link. I think I will try to dig up some old photos of the car from the mid 70s when it was still Fontaine Blue and being used as my mom's daily driver. Lots of memories in that car for all of our family and most of our friends.

It's always been a fun driver and never fails to get a thumbs-up when you drive it somewhere.

Here is a picture of it now, the color was changed to Marina Turquoise after the telephone pole fell on it:
