Default Earliest known 67 Camaro 427 conversion

Whats the build date on the earliest known 67 Camaro 427 conversion by the big name builders. YENKO/NICKEY/DANA. Also I see one 67 Yenko Camaro VIN is far earlier than the others, anyone have the Cowl Tag Build date by chance? 9A???

Anyone know when Yenko 124377N101328 was converted?

Also anyone know how long the average time-frame for a magazine to go from layout to print in 67? Otherwise an article in Feb 67 would have to be completed how far in advance to the mag being printed?

Mahalo

I have the January 1967 issue of TACH, house organ for the AHRA at the time. The issue has a extensive feature on a 427 conversion done at Nickey with Dick Harrell supervising. The car is a very early production SS350; no "350" emblems or flags.

Given that the Camaro intro date was September 29, 1966 this had to be done during October 1966.

Thanks William

Reason i am asking is I have 2/67 Rod & Custom with the a 67 DANA in it in which they call it DC-1 (DANA Camaro #1) and like the one you mentioned it has no 350 or emblems or flags as well. A 2nd DANA Camaro in the article has the 350 and flags

I've got an August of 67 Speed and Supercar article about a Nickey/Thomas 427 conversion. Car has SS-350 grille emblem, SS front fender edge emblems, Nickey emblem over the front fender Camaro, Chevy Bow tie on the horn cap, can't see the gas cap to see if its an SS or SS350 cap. The bow tie on the steering wheel would tend to indicate its a later (post February of 67 or so) car. Base price was 3711, price as tested was 4300.

Jeff,

While not giving information on the exact earliest build date on the 67 Camaro conversion, here are a couple of interesting dated documents.
