I got a package in the mail today that really took me by surprise. Quite some time ago Geoff called wanting technical information on an LS6 he was restoring. I have never minded helping people with their cars and Geoff was no exception even though sometimes they can get carried away and become very time consuming. Towards the end of Geoff’s project he told me he wanted to sell many of his Chevelle parts that he had accumulated over the course of the restoration and called to see if I was interested. This after he had offered me his nut and bolt collection. I stated I was interested in them but wanted to work out a fair price considering the help and time I had given him. He sent me a three page list of the parts and I then went through and picked out the ones I was interested in. Mainly trinket items but needed none the less.
When it came time, Geoff asked that I only pay the freight. I was a little shocked that was all he wanted but then when they didn’t show up after many weeks I figured they likely never would even though we kept in contact. Well today they showed up and I must say it was well worth the wait and way beyond what I expected. Every part there was usable and in very good condition not to mention it was packaged better than any other package I have gotten from anyone in the past. I don’t normally publicly thank someone but ‘pat on the backs’ are many times over looked by people after some others have worked very hard to help them. In this case I felt I should as he is a member here and does business with others as well. I wanted them to know that he was very honest and good to deal with and that I received more than I bargained for. For this I thank you Geoff. It was a pleasure and very much appreciated! Helping others with their cars has once again proved to be worth the effort.
