I just wanted to see if there was any thing special about this trim tag? It is a 69 Nova.

1969 Nova V8 VIN....red bucket seat interior....black exterior paint...3 types of exterior trim...probably brite window trim, drip rail and either b/s or rocker moldings.

Great/rare color combo....now all you need is an L78 engine

Boy, you are sensitive...must be the late summer humidity

Sammy, any V-8 engine will be just fine...especially a small block...the big blocks are too much work anyway

What significance is the "R" on the third line? I thought all Novas had an "A" then a 1,2,or 3 to determine the exterior trim options.

I believe that is the paint code for the dash color and the verticle side of the metal insturment panel.
I think A is for black. I dont have all the other codes.
It has been talked about before.
Gregg Roberts, Where are you, do you know the codes for the other colors ?

Hello,

I normally do not read the lounge so you go lucky here.

Yes R=Red interior paint. Top dash, front of the dash, interior door window frames, rear package tray,

These are year dependent and from memory
69
R=Read
A=Black
B=Blue
G=Green

70
A=Black
B=Blue
S=Sandalwood
M=Gold
G=Green

Greg
