Default Number 1 Team license plate frame.

About 15yrs ago I bought a '67 Corvette from a guy in the Detroit area.He had worked at a Chevy store in the are before retiring.Along with the car came several boxes of parts. Many of them new in the GM boxes.I was moving boxes into the new building and came across them again. While sorting throught them I came across a license plate frame that I had not seen.I was wondering if any one had seen this before. It is chrome. With a blue background with Number 1 Team on it.It is metal and kind of heavy for a plate frame.Take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks in advance

Any casting numbers on the back? I think it's cool.

I have some of these frames NOS. None of mine have any casting #s, only Chevrolet and Bay City. This was a sales slogan used quite a bit in 67 so that probably helps explain why the guy you got the 67 Corvette might of had them.
I always thought these were cool as well.

I sold the remaining same sets I had, including JMattisons personal frame. These were originally handed out by Chevrolet to key personal back in 1966-67 at first,as a token of their appreciation.
Read Here.....My pics are deleted, but were the same as in your picture & had "CHEVROLET-BAYCITY" cast on the backside.
There were recently being repopped, but those don't have "Chevrolet-BayCity" cast on the backside.

Does anyone have any for sale? That would look cool on my Dad's 67 427 car.

$125-$150 in this market. I've sold a few for close to $300 but I think these discretionary items have taken a big hit. Put it on ebay, see what she brings...
