Default economy is not bad for 4 post lift buisness..

ordered 2 back yard buddies today (red white blue version, price is high but made in america) and there is a pretty good back log for them. 9-10 weeks. they hired another welder. I can't tell if the economy is recovering or what from time to time, but if you look at backyard buddy, they are a good indicator things are looking up (I hope).

Jason at BYB likes to spin things. I suspect the back log is for other reasons like inventory management.

I think stuff is turning around and has been for the last month to 2 months. Ive been buying some property around Phoenix and before Id have a couple of weeks to think about a deal and then end up getting way under asking price, now just in the last 2 weeks Ive missed three propertys that sold the same day they were listed for more than asking price.. And Ive also noticed the phone ringing alot more with guys looking for cars and I sold a few last month. Things are getting better or Ive hit a lucky streak lately.

I am SW FL, and it's terrible here. The RE market is continuing to fall, people are losing their jobs, and more and more restaurants are going out of business.

We'll see how the tourist season goes this year, and maybe we can start a recovery. There are a lot of Europeans here buying real estate, and the low stuff is getting picked up, but it's the stuff that's in foreclosure and short sales.

I am in banking, and I fear that things are going to continue to get worse before they start getting better. Hard to pay the bills when you lose your job when the business fails.

Now would be a good time for a tax cut for EVERYONE so we can have an organic recovery versus a forced government spending program. Afterall, it is OUR money, not theirs.

You're really going to use a hydraulic lift company as an indication of the national economy? Comical...

hey, it was just a surprise I was not expecting, I have been hee hawing with these guys for 3 yrs and finally pulled the trigger (almost bought benpak, but just had to do the american thing, so tired of made in china). at 4400 a piece (and by the way used car salesman jason is no longer there), I could not get the things under 9 weeks. I expected buisness to be slow in anything related to classic cars, I guessed wrong on the byb item for sure. it's just one of many indicators (a good one).

Man, I sold my three BB lifts for about 1/2 that price right here on this site. Where were you?
Of course I scoured the globe when I purchased mine and there were no previously owned units for sale.
