Default 15X7 tourqe thrusts

would 15X7 TQs work on my 67Z? Or should I go with 15X6 TQs?The standard rim size for the 67Z is 15X6 rallys.Any opinions? I am worried about fender clearance in the front when turning.

It'll depend on the offset as far as clearance goes, but as far as appearance goes, 15x6's looks a ton better than 15x7s on a 1st gen camaro in my opinion.

I have run both sizes at different times. I did not have a rubbing problem when I used the 15x6s but did with the 15x7s. I was running a P215/60R15 tire and stock height suspension.

Here's a couple of options to get you cast 15x7's with a bit more backspacing:

Halibrand can machine these to 4.25" BS, 1/2" more than TT D's

Vintage Wheel Works V45s have 3-7/8"BS, so another 1/8". Maybe not enough.

Team # has their 5 window 15x7 available with 4.75"BS, which would essentially put the entire extra inch inboard compared to a Torq Thrust D 15x6 (w/its 3.625"BS), but not sure if there will be clearance problems with tie rod ends, sway bar, etc.

Finally, American's new versions of the T70R Torq Thrust have 1/4" more (4") backspacing in the 15x7 version compared to the Torq Thrust D or TTO

'69s need all the extra backspacing they can get, too, even with their bigger wheelwells.

Good luck!

Jon,will the 3 3/4 backspaceing work? I was told that the american raceing Ds are only available with 3 3/4 backspaceing not 3 1/2. anyone know if 3 3/4 will work on a 67 camaro?
