Default My 32 ford

well I figured I would add my 32 ford to the 34 and the 37. All I wanted was to learn what kwhizz's shade of blue is to go on this car.

picture is in 1971 (I have more). It has never been finished after being repainted in this picture, and that how it sits now (paint is shot). it was an old texas unchopped hot rod. plan to keep it channeled and dark blue. I have a nice red metal flake steering wheel for it I got off this site, and want to do a red interior. same wheels and tires. kwhizz nailed the color I was thinking of.

thanks, i have had the car for about 2 yrs now, waiting to get the title the guy lost, but finally got a replacement. for what I paid, it was worth the risk.

plan to get it painted this year, as its pretty rust free, the paint is all peeling on it. it is set up for a ford 427 (as in the pics from 70), but it was a hemi hot rod, so I kinda want to do a hemi in it. I would like to put a 68 hemi in it I found.

he boxed the frame (which awesomely done, and switched out the 57 chevy rear end to a ford rear end.

I would love to find out what happened to the (leapin lena) race car in these pics, as to find more history clues on the 32 in texas (houston area)

Slots look great! Hemi-powered should get her down the road pretty good (sideways anyway )

There's no way I'd chop that beautiful 78(wow) year old sheetmetal after it's avoided the hacksaw this far into its' life. I've seen some very nice un-chopped '32's and they actually look fine.

thanks ken. that car looks great. that is the money shot. not too much metallic, not too dark, not too light. some of the blues I have seen are too 'dodge viper blue-ish' for me. That shade is just right!
