I love third gen Camaros, especially IROCS! Had a white '87 with the L89 350 TPI in it. This one appears to have a 305 TPI, as the 8th character in the VIN is an F.

Anyway, looks to be a decent car. Over here, most of those were run hard and abused. Does it smoke when first started? Valve seals were a known problem with these. A fan relay should not be too hard to find. Is the interior in good condition?

$3350 is a little in the high side here in this area (northeast) if it needs paint. That might be a fair price where you are.

They are fun cars to drive, especially on the twisties.

Ya, the guy said it's an IROC-Z, but i don't really know. I didn't saw the car in person at this time....

Also i have to ask for smoke after first start.

But it has 107k km, which is almost 67k mls.

All in all sounds not really bad...

Not a bad looking car and the price seems fair considering your in Germany so you wont have to pay the import tax. I like the fact that its a hard top car instead of a T-top and these make great cars for multiple purposes. You could make a drag car, street car, road course, or a mixture of all and have some fun on the autobahn. The car looks complete with the correct smog system, and original parts under the hood, basically looks to be an untouched virgin. As for the paint... All 87 camaros I have seen including the one I have owned since new had paint issues. There was something wrong with the primer that deteriorated under the paint causing the paint to flake off. The only way to fix the problem would be to strip the car and repaint. I know you have wanted a muscle car for some time now and this car has a ton of potential. The parts are easy to find, cheap in price, and you could have them shipped in to an APO address if you know someone in the US Military. My two cents. Mark

Look under the console lid, should be a "service parts identification" label (SPID), like a stick on build sheet. Sometimes they are attached to the interior side of the console.

B4Z is the code for the IROC Z package. If it's listed there, then it's a real one.

Looks like a good third gen.

Not much doubt in my mind its a "real" Iroc. The overall condition is the bigger question. From what you say it'll need a repaint, new stripes/decals (if you're trying restore it to original condition) I'd guess the paint/stripes are currently original. The interior looks pretty good. Likely the leather wrapped wheel is messed up under that cover, but parts for these are starting to be reproduced, and quite honestly, nice original stuff is still out there via ebay if you look for it. The thing I'd be looking for most is rust on the body and underneath. Look closely along the bottoms of the doors, quarter panels, fenders, etc, under or around the wheel lips, rocker moldings, and floorboards. Also check the condition of all the fuel lines, brake lines, etc. as these also are known to rust out. The milage is good, and it looks relatively unmolested underhood. I'd guess there aren't a ton of decent 3rd Gen Camaros available over there, so if you're into them this one may have alot of potential.

Thanks for all your help guys

True, I'm really interested in these kind of rides Mark. It's not easy to find some here in good condition for a fair price.

In case of i buy the car, i will "restore" it original.

Because the problem here in germany is, most cars like these are in really bad condition. But i will figure out...

Btw: Where exactly is the SPID located please?

9 out of 10 times, if it has the disc brake rear its an Iroc.

SPID is located in the console. It will glued to the console lid or one of the interior sides of the console.
