Looks like GM is providing NCRS with shipper info that NCRS will provide for a cost.
I think this is big news. Mark

That's where GM Oshawa get their information also. The GM of Canada shipping lists are on microfilm. Back in the late '80s when I first got the GM info on our old Chevelle, they used to print off a page of the shipping list as well for you. Your car would be on that page as well as a lot of other cars. Key codes and other stuff was also on the page. Neat stuff to have. There might be a lot of shocked and unhappy campers out there when they find out the truth about their cars. On the other hand, there are going to be many very happy and some times pleasantly surprised folks too.

The info is there for other GM cars, but, NCRS only has the right to release the Corvette info per their agreement with GM.

My understanding is that the infomation provided is just the date and dealer/zone that the car was originally shipped to. Unlike GM Canada, there is no option information available for U.S. cars. GM of Canada has the option information because it was provided by GM for customs purposes.

They're apparently accessing the NICB records. GM had requested copies of the NICB data several years ago.
