Default Lamb Chevrolet-Prescott, AZ

Looking to talk to employee or associate of Lamb Chevrolet or even a car enthusiast from Prescott AZ circa 1969-1970. I own a very unique car sold new at Lamb and would like to hear some early history.

I lived there in the mid-seventies and frequented Lamb Chevy quite a bit. There were a few cool LAMB cars cruising Gurley (The main drag) back in the day. I specifically remember a orange L89 chevelle, several LS6's etc... those were the days! For a small town we had some cool cars.

Any recollection of a Phil Preston, Prescott, AZ who drove a big block 69 Pace Car Camaro in the area and in the time frame of 1969-1974. He is the missing link to hear about the history of my otherwise well documented car. His fathers name (car titled) was apparently Robert Preston also of Prescott. I have been to Lamb Chevy (Super Nice People), they knew of him, still had a service folder on the car (yes, I struck GOLD) but have not heard from him in years. From what I can figure Phil Preston would be in his forties now. Anybody know of him ?????? Thanks, George

George,
Don't know if it is the right Robert, but the white pages for AZ only list one Robert Preston in Prescott, AZ. Here is the information:
Robert Preston 928-717-1349
1721 Rolling Hills Dr
Prescott, AZ 86303

Good luck with your search!

Well, unfortunately I have already spoken to this Robt Preston and he is not my guy. A rather common name does not simplify this. Thanks for the attempt though.

That would be the Chevelle that sat across from A&W.

Actually, probably the rarest (ie. most valuable) car in town was the Challenger that was behind KFC for years. 440+6 convertible...I believe it was the plum crazy car in the magazine ads.

3..2...1....and I'm outta here.

Say hello to George Lyons if he ever shows up on the site. I'm assuming he's talking about the car with the VIN ending in 66, rather than the one ending in 25. I'm glad to hear that the block made it with the car all these years. Dunno why I managed to stumble over this kind of thing through the years. I just assumed that the rare models weren't I guess.
