A friend of mine had a set of CA dealer frames restored by a guy in LA. They turned out excellent, but as with anything else, success depends on the initial condition.

Yes Dan the pot metal with the pits. No cracks just pitting and a rechrome job. Its a dealer plate frame for my nova. Not looking for perfection just as good as can be.

Sam, I had my Sutliff Chevrolet frame rechromed by Librandi's in Middletown, PA, he charged me $75 and then I had a friend repaint it exactly as original and the outcome was outstanding. I also had another one that he would not rechrome because after he started to prep it he was afraid it was not going to withstand the chroming process because the metal would have been to thin.

Librandi would not do it for me. It is not really that bad and it is not thin , bent or broken. I am sending it to Florida tomorrow to a guy.
