Default Titling/registering muscle cars in Connecticut

Can anyone living in CT give me a hand by explaining the process for titling/registering my COPO cars? I've tried to look through the DMV site and it is pretty confusing. Do they really expect you to trailer your car to Hartford for inspection before they will let you register it? How do you deal with the emissions test requirement if you are exhausting Sunoco 110 leaded?

Thanks,

Jeff

Here's what SEMA has to say for CT.

They're mainly about steet rods and assembled vehicles, but it may give you some good ideas. They have links to all the states at this site.
