Default New Here!

Hi everyone, I recently found this site, and even though I don't have a supercar, I am a big fan. I'm a Pontiac guy and own a few. In the past I had a 82 V6 Firebird, 89 Firebird Formula, currently own a 04 Grand Prix GTP, 1967 Firebird Sprint, 1997 Trans Am WS6, and a 1972 Camaro. The rarest of these though is the Sprint and is currently being restored. It is equipped with the 230 OHC 6, three speed manual, 3.55 open rear end. It has 36000 original miles, I can verify this with documentation I found in the car. I can't wait to get her back on the road. Here are a couple of pics.

Does your 67 have a console with that 3-speed manual, or is column shift? I've only seen one column shift manual 67 Firebird in my entire life!

I had a 96 Formula convertible (new), so I like your 97 WS6 too.

cool car..i had a lemans w/ the sprint motor years ago...my buddy has two 67 birds in his shop right now that both are original paint..one vert and the other I believe was originally a sprint....is there anyway to tell from the numbers if it was a sprint or just a straight six?? besides the rocker chromes that are missing? it now has a V-8...

Good luck w the resto...and thanks for sharing!!

Thanks, mine is a floor shift 3 speed, no console. I did see two cars last year that were 400ci, bench seat, column autos. Very neat!

Other that the 6 or 8 in the VIN, there is no way of knowing if it was a sprint or 1bbl unless you had the original engine or a copy of the manifest.
