Strange that the Camaro spring code chart does NOT show "HQ" springs?? It seems the load on these springs are 1830lbs and the rate is 345lbs/inch. I'm trying to match this spring as close as possible. The height is perfect for my SS396.

I think a common BB spring was the "HH"...same as a Nova...of course other things impacted spring selection...including trans options, special suapension, a/c. etc...

Anyway...you should be able to get them from Eaton for your exact application.

Heard back from Eaton. Almost a waste of time. They want to sell me the MC 1266 stock spring on their site. 1725 lbs load and 330 lbs/inch was the rate. This is after I gave them the GM#, the spring specs and everything. Any Big Block guys out there ?? What springs did you use??

Thanks Barry. I have been on every Camaro Vendor site I could think of. Not much help. Heartbeat City offers exact replacements. They don't know the specs of each spring though. Go figure??

HQ I believe was a late spring as it is in the 1970 Nova chart but not the 1969. It should be the same spec as the "HA" code. Heatbeat City has 3955724 HA The spring height and rates went in numerical order. So 3955723 would be a tad bit shorter and 3955725 a tad bit taller.

Click here to see what the weight specs say your spring should be for L34/L35/L78. Other spring calculators are on my project page.
