Hey Guys,
I took this set of NOS Goodyear blue streak tires mounted on Ansen 15x10 wheels in on trade. I don't know much about these vintage Bluesteaks and know there are quite a few guys into vintage tires on this site. The tires were mounted on the wheels but have never been on a car. They still have the tags mounted on the thread as shown. I tried doing some google research on these but could not come up with much. I would like to know if these tires were ever installed on any car when new like Cobras, etc. Also, does anyone have an idea of what they are worth? I will probably end up going the Ebay route but may put a reserve on them since it does not seem like these come around often. Finally, are there any precautions I should take before having the tires dismounted from the wheels? I certainly don't want them to be damaged upon removal. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jason |

----I used to run Blue Streaks on the street back in 69/70 as my house mate worked for Goodyear Racing South, but as a rule these tires were made for racing and should not be used on the street. There is no sidewall protection whatsoever just for starters. That tread design would be lethal in the rain as well. Cool tires though, and I would love to have 'em!!!!!!
----Oh yeah,,,You also had to run them with gum-rubber racing tubes as well or you could ecpect daily flats.....Bill S |

Look like mid/late '60s road racing tires that you would have seen used in SCCA GT classes (or pre full slick Trans Am). With those dimensions, maybe a GT-1 Corvette rear?

Thanks guys. I was thinking Cobra or SCCA Corvette but was not sure. Any idea of value and the danger of dismounting them from the rims? I have had quite a few inquires about buying them but I said above, I don't have an idea what they are worth or even a range. Usually I go straight to EBay with these types of things but I wanted to be a bit educated and now that I posted here I feel a bit obligated to offer them to members who have inquired first.
