Seeing Tommy's post on Day 2 fan belts reminded me to ask - is there any other source for non cogged original "Day 1" fan belts anymore other than Quanta?
I am not having very good luck with their alternator belt for the Chevelle, specifically it won't stay on after some spirited driving, even after switching to a deep groove alt. pulley. Really don't care for the look of a top or bottom cog belt but it is the only thing I can find that right now will stay on........ Thanks Jake |

Are you sure one of your deepgroove crank, fan or alt. pullies aren't out of alignment?
No reason a quality quanta belt should be coming off like that during spirited driving.. |

Jake, I was having problems with throwing belts and like Rick stated, check your alignment. That was my problem.....I used a straight edge and visually aligned it. Let me know if you need any help, I can come down sometime.
Kurt

Thanks Kurt & Rick. I took a look last night and all appears OK but maybe I need to get the straight edge out to make sure it is exact.
