Default Day 2 slicks

Now that I've ordered my radiator, the next thing is some day 2 looking street slicks. Anybody got some ideas for my nova?? Pictures and links are greatly appreciated. Would like the slicks to fit the stock 14x7 steels. Hopefully I can get these in Canada. Thanks in advance for your help. Darcy

Hello
Are you looking for set to race with or just a set to say take photos and just look cool, if you are looking for a set just for looks i have a set from the 60's that are still mounted to a set of 14x7 wheels, I believe they are old pontiac wheels(I would need to check the bolt pattern to be sure ) one slick is in very good shape but the other one has some cracks on the side walls and i dont know if i would have the balls to take them down the track. I would get rid of them for $80. plus shipping. Thanks, Geoff.

Thanks Geoff, but I would like them for the looks, but also for the 100ft shoot out that we have locally. I might run it at the track if time allows. Them red line bias I have look cool, but don't hook up worth a darn. Thanks for the offer though.

Darcy
Here is the new Hurst slicks I put on my Camaro, just for the day two look. Not much good for hooking up at the track.
Understand they are new radial tires recaped with the cheater tread.

These are 7", mounted on 14x6 rims.

These are pretty new and are available in 8.50 x 14, and also 9.00 x 15 as well as these. These are Stock class correct for late 60's early 70's (max 7 inch tread) and I remember seeing some of these on the street back in the day. I think these are more period correct as the piecrusts are more early to mid 60's vintage.

Here's a better picture..these things look just like originals

These guys are correct---"pie crust" slicks were run in 1964 vintage cars. They were long gone by 1969. Look in any 69 vintage car magazine.Go to the M&H Racemasters or check out some Mickey Thompson Indy Profiles, if you can find them. Summit Racing still has stock but I believe M/T is no longer building them.

The BFG Drag Radials,M&H drag radials as well as the new Goodyear DOT drag radials look good and handle better than any of these "old school" tires. Put 32 pounds in them and they don't even look like radials from the side. Don't even look at the Jap stuff from Nitto.
