Default 1969 DZ 302 Engine Value

I've got my 302 engine listed on a few forums and E-Bay. My E-Bay ad expired today and didn't meet reserve and no response from other ads. Am I just asking to much, any thoughts on what it's really worth would be appreciated....Thanks

I would say it might bring between $4K to $5K if the dates are good for someone. Engines rarely are worth what you might have in them which is often twice the actual market value. I've seen this particular engine for sale on lots of sites for months now, so the fact that it has been widely exposed and is still around means your expectations are significantly above what the market is willing to pay.

You might want to try and negotiate a little with the hi bidder on ebay and see if you can make a deal if you are serious about selling. I just think used engines are hard to sell as most people like to build their own, so they know exactly what is in them and who did the machine work and assembly.

I thought they would be worth more, but now I agree with you on the 4k to 5k. Thanks
