Default Repro batteries

I bought an R71 Battery in 2005 from Antique Auto Battery and was pleased that it lasted 7 years. Its now dead but looks new and I am interested in gutting the case and using it as a cover for a compact high CCA battery. Does anyone know what Antique used as the guts of their batterys? Does anyone have a recomndation for a battery that will fit inside an R71 case?

Paul
