Default Alternator Restoration

I'm trying to restore a 1969 #1100834 alternator for my Camaro. Can anyone confirm or deny that there were ANY ink stampings on the front case. In my case, a CW ink stamping? Also, were there ANY ink stampings by the plug on the rear such as an A or H?

Here (down below) is some of the data I've gotten of the web. Can anyone tell me if any of the information listed below is correct for my application?
A CW ink stamped alternator case on front and A and H on the rear by the plug.

A = All alternators 1966-1975 (stamped by plug)
H = All alternators 1966-1975 (stamped by plug)

*Application stamps (on case)
CZ - High Horsepower = 302 350 396 454
CW - Low Horsepower = 350, 396
CB - 1967-1968 Low HP = 396-350
CK - 68 High Horsepower 302 327 350 396 427
CD - 327 350 with A/C
NP - 427 Corvette applications
NR - 427-400 Corvette applications
NS - 427-430 Corvette applications
CS - Various HP applications
NF - 427 Corvette applications
NL - 327 L79

Thanks guys!

69NV,

That looks like information you gathered from Pacecar Jeff's website, AKA www.broachbuster.com.
I think it is fairly accurate and I do know that Jeff has spent a fair amount of time reseaching this stuff. I think his radiator hoses in particular are very nice. The original alternator on my 66 L79 Nova did have an "A" by the plug and an "NL" on the case though it was very faint and almost unreadable, but that was almost 30 years ago when the car was only 18 years old. I'm not sure what he means by "A" being on all 66 thru 75 alternators, and then he says an "H" is on all 66 thru 75 alternators??
I think you can rely on his findings, but, if you find out differently down the road a little lacquer thinner on a rag will take care of it real quick and then you can apply the new code.

BTW, If you have the build sheet for the car the 2 letter code can be found on it.

Dave

Thanks Dave, for the info...but I don't have a build sheet for my car. I've never seen a CW stamped on any #834 alternator but the one pictured on PACECARJEFF's ebay site. Btw, I was just trying to see if anyone knew off the top of their head if any of this info was legitiment.
