The owner of this 72 Monte Carlo bought it new and says it has always been dark green. Unless I'm reading the trim tag wrong, it is a Golden Brown car. Has anyone ever seen this before? Original owner says something different that what the tag says. He is not trying to sell it or anything, I am just restoring it for him.

57 is correct for Golden Brown in 1972....you`ll find out once you start stripping the paint if was Brown as GM said it should have been.
