There was some controversy about this car. While I'm not in the copo owners loop, I do know the guy who restored the car. Story is that it's a real copo that had been a race car. He had to replace the firewall and apparently it caused some problem after the current owner bought it.

Mac had a beautiful Cortez Silver COPO at one of the SCR's as I recall. I don't think he would have modified that one, but more likely wanted to duplicate another one like it, to drive

That's the one. If you go to page two and look at the pictures on the bottom of the page, you will see the car before they started on it. Darrell called over to Detroit Speed and they confirmed it was the car he restored. That's another reason they aren't going to paint it. At least that's the plan at this time.

Detroit Speed does good work and make good products. That was a gorgeous car before now it will be gorgeous and alot more functional.
