Default Anyone a fan of the Isle of Man TT?

My 2 1/2 yo son likes to watch youtube vids of motorcycles on my phone and we ran across the Isle of Man TT. I read about that race years ago and completely forgot all about it, but wow, those guys are absolutely insane. Whew. It almost gives you chills just watching them race. If you're a fan of motorcycle race, check it out on youtube, it's worth watching some of teh footage. Those guys are nuts.

Saw the race on TV awhile back. Can't remember what channel, maybe ESPN? You're right. These guys give new meaning to the word insane. They race at ungodly speeds thru the countryside with no safety barriers at all. If they lose control they could hit a tree or a house, or go off a cliff! Mark, if you can find it on youtube they have a race with the bikes with side cars. Yep, there is the rider on the bike and another in the side car. CRAZY.

The Isle of man is THE best of Motorcycle racing also the Sidecar stuff absolutely wild!
Click below and hang the frig on, the back and forth action for position is just great and not unlike Gilles Villeneuve and Rene Arnoux's famous F1 battle...

A friend of mine used to go there when we were younger, he said that there were a few guys killed everytime.

After the official race they let anyone drive the track, and that's when most accidents happen. Some of the spectators have faster, more powerful bikes than the racers.

I don't know if the track is open now a days for the public. It is anyway a fun event that attracts bike enthusiast from all over Europe and overseas.
