Why are there only 8 sy 1970 yenko novas on the vin page? They made 10 so why are 2 of them missing and what info do you guys know about these sunflower yellow yenkos? I had one for my first car and totaled it after the first month I had it... I would really like to find out more information about it. Thanks.

Welcome aboard Patrick. Data from the "vin page" represents the info retrieved from 6 of the 10 inventory sheets that have been found. Four of the 10 sheets are still missing. About half of the 175 Yenko Deuces are in the Deuce registry. There are documented cars in the Deuce registry that are not on the 6 existing inventory sheets. Are you saying that you owned a sunflower yellow Deuce that you totaled? Would love to hear more about it. Do you have the VIN for that car? Was it on the inventory list? were you the original owner? Where was it sold new? Do you have any documentation for this car or old photographs?

A brother of my friend bought a sunflower yellow 1970 yenko nova when he first got out of the military. I cant remember if he bought it near his military base and drove it home or bought it when he got back home in Minnesota. After a few years, he sold it to his brother who got 3 speeding tickets in a month and his dad sold it to my dad. I had the car for a month and then totaled it. The one thing I cant figure out is that it didn't have a hood tach. Is it possible that some yenko novas didn't? Is there anyway of finding the vin number of a car if you know who owned it last? it would have been in my fathers name. I don't believe that I have any documentation or photographs for the car but I will try to look for some.

To get the VIN #,try contacting the insurance company who insured it back then, today.
Or even a lending institution,if there was one. |

Is it possible that this yenko nova didn't have a hood tach because I don't remember one but every one I've seen online has one.

It's possible that your Sun Yellow Deuce didn't get a tach. The Sun Deuces were converted by Hurst, and it's possible that they simply didn't install one. We've seen some 'unique' things on the Hurst converted Deuces.

I would really like to know more about this car but I don't know where to start... It could still be around because I remember that I drove it to the salvage yard but the insurance company totaled because there was a lot of body damage. It's sad I know...

Not the first time I've heard of that, but typically the Deuce got stripped quick at the yard - nobody wanted the car, just the drive train!
In what state did all this happen - Minnesota? Do you recall what dealer it was sold/ordered from?
