Default Another great deal.

I was at a local cruise on Fri night and ran into an old friend. After catching up I asked him what he was driving. He pointed to a sedate looking 68 Camaro across the lot.It was getting dark and the car didn't look like much from a distance. As I got closer it started to look pretty nice.Sitting lower then stock with dog dish caps and a super straight body with dark navy blue paint.Factory style cowl hood and spoiler.I knew something was up when I saw the 3" tail pipes peaking out from behind the bumper and the drag radials. It still looked very unassuming.

He found the car on Craigs list in Detroit. The owner worked for a shop that restores a lot of Shelbys. It was a southern car with 47K original miles. All original panels, glass and interior. One nice quality paint job and he said the underneath still had factory paint.383 SBC with a 400 and 3:73 rear.It was obviously serious build on the motor but very streetable. He took it to the track without even changing the plugs and the car ran 11.2s right off the trailer. He could have easily driven it there but he didn't want to take any chances the first time down.

So what you say?He paid 17K!I'll try and get some pics next time I see him.
