Can anyone tell me what they believe this U29 option to be in Box 5 on my broadcast sheet?
I was told it was Instrument Courtesy Lights, but I can't find that option in the 1969 Nova Accessory Price List??? If anyone knows what it is, do you also know what the cost of this option was? Thank you, Paul ![]()

You are correct..U29 is the option code for..."instrument panel courtesy lights"
I don't have the pricing for this..this option was probably part of other option packages...I'm sure someone has a window sticker with the amount. It is probably the same for all models... wilma

Being part of a group lighting package is what another guy told me, so any idea why is it listed separately as U29 on the broadcast copy and would this show up separately as a priced option for U29 on a window sticker?
Thanks

Sometimes there are minor differences in the broadcast copy option codes and those that appear in the sales guide or on the window sticker.
eg; ZL3 is listed on the Fisher Body sheet for our 70 L78 Nova...that is a GM code for SS Body Conversion...however the option code that appears on the window sticker is Z26 which matches the sales guide. The ZL3 code told the Fisher plant to perform the needed steps for the SS option to be installed...namely: hood louvers, rear tail panel, SS specific grill, headlite bezels, SS emblems, front fender louvers with chrome trim, etc. This scenario is the same on all of our 70 SS Novas...so, I'm pretty sure it is correct. The U29 option probably required some minor work from the Fisher side to install the option...should I assume your car has the std interior?? wilma

It was the only light that Fisher installed. The rest were installed by Chev.
The options were individually available in prior years, so they still referred to them via the prior individual RPO's.

I have a question on the Nova's ...Did the entire body come from the Fisher plant? unlike the Camaro where the front end was built and painted on the G.M. side
