Default OLD PRO STOCK NOVA

Hello to all I am new to this site .I am interested In any advice on a old original pro stock Nova that was know as the Black Knight the car is has been in my family for the past 20 years and is basically In the same condition as the day it was raced by Levi holmes the car is really amassing as it still has the same cage in the car we just had it updated it still has the Dana 60 rear with leaf springs and Lakewood slapper bars .has the same fiberglass nose and a glass trunk lid the rest of the car is all steel and it has all the original window glass the car still runs a big block but runs a auto trans instead of a four speed the only major change to the car was a 4"glass cowl hood and fresh paint the old girl still has what it takes to run 9.20s on the motor were not interested in selling the car .Here's where we are interested in some advice does the car have the history to make it worth repainting the car and have it letter up this the real deal
Thanks Walt

Regardless of what we say on this forum the car has enough sentimental value, and family history, that I think it would certainly be worth recreating the old paint job.

Have you spoken to Levi about the car? Levi was doing well last time I talked to him and he still races from time to time. He can probably give you all of the history on the car if that is what you're after. Cool car, either way.

Walt, Very cool! on the original paint/lettering. I would paint both hoods just in case you want to switch them around at times...maybe even find some original slotted mags!

Welcome aboard. I would restore this car back to it's original glory and race it as such. I am quite sure I have photos of this car somewhere. I thought I remembered the logo on the door even before it completely loaded up so I am sure I do. How about some current photos?

ABSOLUTELY worth restoring to her Glory Days! But PLEASE do the old girl a favor and have the lettering PAINTED on, not vinyl graphics. Todays vinyl is cheaper and easier, but a car like this deserves the extra effort of hand lettering.
There's still a few of us crusty old codgers that can handle a brush. I'm betting there's one in your area too.
