My weatherstrip for the cowl is so hard it jacks up the hood in the back. I bought 2 from different suppliers. Which supplier have people had good luck with?

best luck is a good used one - a lot depends on how tight your hood is to the cowl - which also is affected by the height of the fenders as well.
Another way we do is to shave it down - considering you probably won't be moving the fenders/hood up or down.

I had to put the used GM one back on, the NOS one made the back stick up to high

If you can find a NOS type, that is the way to go.The rubber is softer compared to the repop type.I had the same problem, bought a repop and closed the hood to find out the same thing. My hood sticks up just sightly with a NOS one, which in time should go down.

The one I have is GM. Thanks for the replies. At least I know other people have trouble with it too. I guess I'll have to modify it.
