I don't think this pushes political envelope at all. I think this is a patriotic issue and should be discussed before we lose all of are rights.

I read about this yesterday. The vote was by 12 members of the student council. 2 didn't vote and 6 were unAmerican students according to the article I read. The ban has already been vetoed.

A decision by the student body government of the University of California at Irvine to ban the display of all flags – including the United States flag – has been vetoed.
According to the Associated Press, the university's executive cabinet has voted to overturn the ban, which prompted outrage nationwide and led one state legislator to consider an amendment to the California constitution to ensure the American flag could be flown on the campuses of state schools. Looks like somebody had some sense ... It would be interesting to see these "kids" start that crap with an audience of Veterans ... wonder how that would go.
