I recently acquired an L72 that had been installed in a Corvette with the 5 quart pan. It had the baffle that attaches to main cap studs. Did the B Body cars with the L72 427 also use that baffle or a similar one? The pan I had for my Biscayne is not a B body pan and it would not fit with the baffle and studs installed so I changed the main bolts and left it off. Since then I have acquired a proper B body oil pan, one of my winter projects is to install it. I would like to put the baffle in if it will fit. I know I can test fit it, but would like some advice/info in advance from our experts here. Thanks!
