Default Lakewood 40110 Drag Shocks

Why have the Lakewood 40110 shocks been discontinued? For First Gen Camaro and 3rd Nova.

What do you want to know? I run those the front of my '69 Nova. Cheap and I guess they worked ok. Car doesn't handle very well around corners but that could have been the 3.5" wide tire too.

IF I was doing it over, I would NOT run that shock on my street car.

I run mine on the street. Reason there "no longer available"? Most likely not much call for them. MOST tract only would go the way of 90/10's. I had both. 90/10's are on the car now. But like U said above, I wouldn't do those shocks again. I would get adjustable like Comp 3 ways. There CHEAP, and actually cheaper then the lakewoods, and you can pick 50/50, 70/30 or 90/10 valving. I put those on my '61 409 Pontiac. Seem to work ok, still not great. But at least I can change them to 50/50 for normal street driving, and set them to 90/10's for playing.

I tried the 3-way adjustable and found no joy. Sent them back for a refund. Lakewood 90/10 now and work fine. I've used them a little on the street but you gotta keep your "brain in the game".
