Do you mean when they stopped installing it in vehicles,or when they stopped selling it over the counter?

In general,I'm pretty sure GM stopped installing em on the line after the 1966 model year was over, then went to the hard top battery starting with '67 production. That's when Delco eye caps came out too.
Ford & Chrysler stopped installing them after the 1964 model year was done. |

In the Oldsmobile world mid 66 or there abouts is the time the change from tar tops to the energizer occurred. I know of a bulletin that states this and how to service the new battery.
