I recall the discussions of this over the years
the owner sure is trying. If you tell enough people, you might believe it eventually the engine stand has the GM part tag on it, something that would NOT be on an assembly line part ...

Jim: I don't think he is saying it was a 427 from the factory. He is saying Motion did the conversion, using the correct engine mount stands. So, those would have had the part number sticker.
Looks to have been a SB car originally. Not defending the car or the story. Who knows. I wouldn't pay a premium for it.
