Pretty rare rear. BO is 3.73 open, not posi. Definitely don't see that every day.

when i was a kid i saw it all the time..to find a posi in a 69 Z was rare around my home town of ST Louis....almost every one ive been around, parted etc was 3.73 open..posi was an option..even on a Z my buddy destroyed 5 or 6 of them by being drunk and loosing control of the cars...they where just camaros back then..they just wherent special like now... all 3.73 open...wealthy parents kept him out of jail and in fresh Zs that he seemed to pull out of thin air

If u wanted a different one then u had to check a diff box...some cost more and some didn't. So I guess that's not right, then??? |

3.73 was standard, but posi was extra, although recommended. 4.10 was the performance, 3.55 the "economy" (there's a euphamism for "10 mpg instead ot 9.5"
![]() It MAY be that when other things were made mandatory later in the year, posi was as well; I'm old and can't remember, but someone on here knows.
