Default Oil Filter Question - PF35 C and PF1218 C

Are both of these filters good to use on a 1970 350 small block?

Are both of these filters good to use on a 1970 454/402 big block?

Are these filters the same, meaning just updated part numbers?

Paul

Use a WIX filter ...

Gotta agree on the Wix filters. If looks are important, put an AC decal on them.

I agree, a Wix filter is a much better filter than the AC choices.

I also use Wix filters (51061) but I make vinyl stencils and paint them.

Very cool idea with the paint/stencil trick.

But I have to ask, why does it appear that there is minimal interest in the AC Delco filters as compared to the Wix filters?

Have members had issues with the Delco products?

Yeah, I guess I would have the same question. I have had zero issues with AC filters, and that's pretty much all I have run on all my GM products in the past 40+ years

I could understand the painting/stencil thing on a concours-restored car, but for anything else that's just a wee bit of overkill.

Wink Oil Filters..

I have used the AC filters in the past...never had a problem. Now we only use the Wix products....the feedback from so many SYC members along with the ease of doing business at a NAPA store sold me.

I like the stencil idea...can you share the process or better yet...If I send you some filters can you do the magic?

Default Oil Filter Question - PF35 C and PF1218 C

Thanks,

Can someone clarify the useage of both these filters?

Are both of these filters good to use on a 350 small block?

Are both of these filters good to use on a 454/427/402/396 big block?

Are these filters the same, meaning just updated part numbers?

Thanks for the info. on the Wix filters and the stenciling trick.

Paul
