Why does a X77 car have the chrome gills on the quarters?

Added by someone as often is done. Looks far better in my opinion and doubt it hurts the car any.

They added the wheel well chrome molding also like a X33. Beautiful car just the same. Will be interesting to see what it sells for.

Depends though; a purist wanting a correct restoration would likely look elsewhere than have to correct all the little details, like filling holes and paint touching-up.
Course, that assumes someone is selling it, and not just driving the wheels off it
