Rare car with the 3-speed manual. I had a 4-speed '66 convertible which was pretty tough to find parts for...I remember finally locating the discontinued throwout bearing I needed in some NOS stock and ended up buying a few handfuls to supply other GS folks.
This one will need everything, and frankly, it's probably going to end up a parts car for a better one. The '65-66 401 cars are great IMO but they don't bring the big money to justify a good resto. Link to 1965 GS auction ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hmm. Does the 65 Skylark frame interchange with 65 Chevelle?

GS had a convertible frame but I’m guessing it’s the same.

"probably going to end up a parts car..."
That would be a shame, but I know there are more old cars out there then will ever be restored, or even made road worthy. |

I know it...it's a shame...I hope I'm wrong.
Relisted in the link below at a lower price....$4000 buy-it-now but the reserve may be less than that. Link to 1965 Skylark GS auction |
