Needs a lot of work - not sure if the hole at the middle of the door is accident damage or rust - but sure must have been a neat ride when new.

It will be interesting to see what people are willing to pay for an empty, rusty, shell that WAS a rare car. Cost to restore that to original build spec will be high.
The hole in the door is a puncture. Looks like it was stabbed with a prong on a fork lift to move it in a junkyard.

I agree, but the Marti report claims it's 1 of 1...should go to Mecum. Probably sell for $150,000

I am not a Ford guy but you can bet if that was a camaro it would certainly be restored. Someone will restore this car back to original and I applaud them for doing so.

![]() That dealer was local to me growing up. They sold a lot of performance Fords back in the day. Its still a ford dealer too.

No SHAKER but that would be my one & only complaint. Bet that thing won more than its share of street races for the dealership owner's son or daughter or wife...or...that's the only ownership explanation I can come up with for a car built in September 1969 and not sold til March of '71?

It actually is a SHAKER car-as verified by the R code 5th digit. Non-shaker would be a Q code, (which is what my one-owner ‘70 Calypso Coral Mach 1 was).

A friend of mine had a Brown 1969 Mach 1 428 CJ 4-speed car......it ran good but his best friend had a 1969 Nova with a 396/375 4-speed......that was always faster, no matter how many times they raced. This was back in the 70’s.
