Default '63 340hp Corvette SWC

The values on split windows continue to wow me....

Serious question - what would cause the trim tag to deteriorate as this one has? Windshield leak? First time I've ever seen this type of corrosion on a C2.

----I see corrosion all thru the interior. Look at the edges around the edge of the gauges and the whole cluster. Look above the trim tag at the glove box hinge. The carpet shows what looks like mold in the footwells. Somebody was cutting corners under the hood as well with that cheap brass radiator.....Bill S

The tag appears to be aluminum. If so, you get a galvanic corrosion between aluminum and steel, especially if it has been stored in a humid/damp location, which this car seems to have been. The corrosion will eat away the aluminum while not affecting the steel.

Looks like galvanic corrosion on the TT. I have seen that a few times before.

I think the dash has been out of that car. The rivets holding the dash to the A pillars are wrong. Probably full of rust and/or lame birdcage repairs.
