Default Interesting '66 Impala 396/4-speed

Cool car - factory 4 speed and 4.10 gears. No mention whether the 396 is original...wonder if it's an original L72 car with those steep gears? Needs a ton of detailing and currently way overpriced IMO.

incorrect alternator mounting bracket, no Harrison name on radiator, partial trunk floor replacement welded in. Supersport should have a console. Shifter handle is correct for a bench seat car but not for a console car. Probably started life as a bench seat car, buckets and Super Sport badging added later. Big block flags on fenders appear to be in the correct position, so may an original big block car. Would like to check the rear end stampings and dates code.

I agree, it looks out of place with out a console if it's an original Super Sport car. Nice car none the less, but is it worth the Money? Time will tell.

I LOVE these 66 Impala Super Sports!

My older Brother had one, White with White buckets, 396 / 4 speed that I was supposed to get from him when he went o College, but he wrapped it around a tree going back to Whitewater Wisconsin University on a Sunday night. I towed it back to my shop I was working at and parted it out. I had the White Bucket interior for 10 years before a guy bought it who knew how rare it was. Memories, Priceless! Bill
