1970 Challenger V-code on BaT

Attractive color combination, body number stamps on cowl and core support look good to me (with no typos-I've seen a couple). I've never seen engine/trans VIN stamp characters like these on 1970 Hamtramck built cars. They're typically gang stamped with narrow, squared off characters as shown in David Wise's book. For what it’s worth I was told it came out of a 6 barrel Cuda around 1975. But cannot confirm that.

I’m no expert. But comparing those 2 the stamps aren’t even close. The B is much less bulbous on my stamp, the 0 is less round, and the 9 is straight going down. Vs rounded on the engine in that car.

Stamping on my former 70 Hemi Challenger looked more like what LetsGo posted. I would be highly suspicious of the stampings on the blue car that's the subject here. I have no doubt that the Mopar faithful will have something to say about it on BaT.

EDIT: Hmmmm, if the Mopar Faithful are going to have anything to say, they better hurry up 'cause there's not much time left in this auction.

Also after looking through all the pictures, the carbs are not anywhere close to original or correct. Date codes are 4 digit. The fan blade should be a heavy duty 7 blade. Instead it’s the light duty 5 blade. The cluster is not the original or correct cluster. It has the wrong tach. The dual point distributor was replaced with en electronic distributor, and I know from experience that’s a $1000.00 dollar plus distributor to find and have restored.
And as someone else already pointed out in the ad, A32 super performance axle package should have a pinion snubber plate over the axle as well as Torque boxes where the leaf springs attach.

Not saying I’m 100% correct either. But the placement of the core support partial vin is about 2 inches further over than any I’ve ever seen. It’s also very very crisp. Not that it’s not possible. Just that it’s weird

Stamp doesn't look kosher to me. The only anomalies I have seen were with the Los Angeles built E-bodies. They used slightly different fonts on the fender tags and engine/trans. But the VIN stamp on those would start with an E not a B. I had a 70 440+6 Cuda that was an early Los Angeles car that began with BS23VOE. This blue car would be JS23V0B159909 so that rules out it being an Los Angeles car. B is the Hamtramck assembly plant.

I've also never seen a radiator core VIN stamping that deep and sharp.
