Default Smokey Yunick

As many of you may know, Henry "Smokey" Yunick passed away May 9th after a battle with leukemia. I believe he was 81 years old.

Smokey impacked many of your lives in many differant ways. He raced and won in every major American speed venue. He did development work and tested for most of the Detroit "Big 3". His concepts and innovations still reverberate throughout the Supercar hobby that we all love and enjoy.

This Thanksgiving, on my annual trek to the Daytona 'Turkey Day Run', I'll have to stop at the site where his 'Best damn garage in town' once stood and pay my respects.

We have lost a true American legend and icon.

Anyone with first hand experience or a interesting Smokey story, please feel free to post.
