I spoke to him as recently as two nights ago, to let him know that info was uncovered regarding his twenty plus COPO units.
Jack will be at the Mecum Auction,In Saint Charles, IL., this Friday only. His autos of preference are the early Brass cars and there won't be many at this particular sale. Give me your phone number off line and I'll pass it on to Jack. |

Stefano,
Did your Douglas/Yenko COPO Camaro come with a 140 speedo and factory tach? Did Douglas add SW gages and Hurst Duel gate shifter on his cars? |

My Douglas/Yenko COPO came with the 140 MPH speedo, center fuel gauge and tac as part of the sports car conversion package COPO 9737.
Jack Douglas states, that he made no modifications to the COPOs, other than Yenko stripes and badges. No after market wheels, shifters, gauges or headers were installed prior to the sale. He also stated, that other modifications such as the above could have been performed by his service department, after the sale. He does remember seeing COPOs that were street raced ,back at the dealership for warranty work, which had the Yenko stripes removed. |
