I had looked at an Orange L78 70 Camaro last September. The car at that time was for sale with Legendary Motors in Canada. Beautiful car from the pics I had seen. The asking price at the time was around $24,000. But they went on to inform me the car had a crate engine.
I did not buy the car due to the fact of not knowing what a crate engine car would be worth. Obviously the original engine is preferred and has the most worth. But what is a crate engine car worth? Should not having the original engine kill the cars price or soften it? BTW..I had then seen the car for sale online down in the states this year but i do not recall where.

My car has an NOS service short block. I think it depends on the car in particular, if it affects value, or authenticity. The CE motors were assembled by the engine dept. at GM, not Bob's remanufactured motors.
