Default Blue Deuce

Well Belk has done it again! He just purchased an all original blue deuce with white stripes from the original owner. Has original paint and stripes and loads of documentation, probably more documentation than any Yenko out there! It has paperwork signed by Don Yenko! I hope he will post some pics. Marlin you will love this car!

Tom, sounds like a great car. Auto or 4sp ? Nice to hear that there are unrestored Yenkos still around.

The car is a 4-speed. Has been sitting in a single car garage since 1979. I brought it home, cleaned it up, tuned it up, put new tires and brakes on it, and have been finally enjoying a Yenko! I am still amazed that it starts and runs like it does. I did not even adjust carb. and it idled immediately. Valves are even set right! The one owner lady still had all the paperwork which includes: protect-o-plate, purchase agreement(she traded a 1968 camaro!), loan agreement with payout schedule($103 a month for three years at 10 and a quarter interest!), all booklets, every registration from day one, original 1970 liscence plates, mso title, delivery service and adjustment sheet, GM in transit card, 2 build sheets, shipping manifest from Yenko Chevy(showing "yenko rig" as the carrier from Hurst), Yenko sportscars new car invoice, original envelope which contained correspondence for sales agreement( .06 postage!), sales agreement signed by Don Yenko, a couple of yenko deuce dealer notes, chevrolet motor division car invoice, photo and time slip of it racing,a circa correct photo of dealership is on the way to me, along with the local newspaper ad anouncing the cars as well as an original yenko parts booklet, and other small items. I contacted the original owners ex-husband( who was under the impression that the car was sold a long time ago!), and he may still have the smog and manifolds.

On the build sheet, does it show the 9737 option? And if it does, does it end in AA or BA or any other combination? Congrats on the purchase! Sounds sweet!

Pete, I may have stated the "build sheet" in error. The papers I have are the ones found in the seats. None of the paperwork I have states either COPO option. Must have been on Yenkos PO only? By the way, 13.62 @ 102mph, not bad for a lady. She must have been the ---- on her block!
