Default Yenko Authorized Cars

I found this copy of an Ad for Don Yenko Super Cars.Notice it also says Yenko Sports Cars,Inc on bottom left.
On the Bottom right it says"Our Hi-Po Dealers with the Mean Ones"
And then it lists all these Dealers from all over the country. They were from:Alabama,Connecticut,Florida,Georgia,Illinois, Indiana,Iowa,Kansas,Kentucky,Massachusetts,Missour i,Minnesota,New Jersey,New York,Ohio-had 6 dealerships,Pennsylvannia,Tennessee,Virginia and Wisconsin.
It gives specific names and towns of Dealerships but I didn't list them here.
Is it correct to believe that all these Dealerships were receiving COPO's,and then buying the stripe kits from Don Yenko and Applying themselves to sell as the real Deal?
Or did Don Yenko send cars already done to these Dealerships to sell....or did they do both?

To my knowledge, Yenko sent the cars to his dealer network pre-striped, badged, ect... Remember the pic BKH has of the Yenko cars on the hauler all striped up. Yenko would note certain cars that were shipped with 'no stripes', and I don't think there were very many of them.

I have a copy of a 'Sales Agreement' between Don Yenko and Josh Darden of Colonial Chevrolet where they specifically outline the sales territory for Colonial. No other dealership within this territory would receive Yenko cars. If there was a formal territory agreement between Yenko and one of his network dealers, wouldn't there also be a formal agreement regarding Douglas installing the Yenko stripes? I know we have talked about this before, but has anyone heard of such a written agreement?

I would say he "condoned" it. The very next paragraph goes on to tell how the Yenko cars should not take away sells, but bring them in, along with enhancing the show room. That is why he let Douglas have the stripes and such...he felt it was good "PR", and Douglas must have felt the stripes/emblems would help him move the cars faster.

Well I must say that is very good news 454.It finally puts to bed the whole issue of striped Douglas cars and why they were made. Can't wait to hear more of what was in store .
