I posted this question on another site with no definitive answers. I have been told by an authority the the Muncie shifter mechanism and fingers on a '70 Chevelle LS-6 I am restoring are incorrect and not off a '70. I cannot pinpoint the exact difference.
Can anyone supply me with a VERY distinctive description or better yet, photos of the fingers mounted to the side cover and close ups of the mechanism itself. Evidently it is a minor infraction but it needs to be corrected. [Edited by SS427 (01-17-2002 at 07:09 AM).]
