Default Stewart Warner Gauges

Someone told me that the Shelby, and possibly the Yenko amp gauge read "Alternator" rather than "Amps" or "Amperes". Does anyone know if that is correct?

Yes,your summation is accepted as correct regarding the S/W gauges for the 1967-68 Shelbys. The later 69-70s used the S/W Black face gauges.
